Dear Friends and Collectors,

I am very excited to announce some important changes in my communications about my artwork!

For these months of July and August, I am here in beautiful Laguna Beach, in southern California, and have been working on creating and building a new website. It’s been heavy lifting, but I am very happy with the results, that I invite you to visit here: https://www.gianne.org/

On the new site, I have added text about why I paint gardens. It is about finding a sense of home in the garden. You can read the text I wrote about my work, found on the ‘About’ page. You will also be able to access older newsletters, see some of my favorite pieces that are now in collections, see a select number of available pieces (that I will update regularly), and on the home page, see current expositions. My newsletters will also come from my new website, so you will notice new formatting. Please let me know what you think, all comments are welcome.

What’s happening here in California;

I have some pastel work on exhibit at the wonderful and new gallery here in Laguna Beach; Lia Skidmore Gallery. https://skidmorecontemporaryart.com/

The year-long exhibit at the Verdugo Hills Hospital, USC Keck School of Medicine is ongoing until January. If you are up in that area, please do stop by: it is a hospital so you can walk in at almost any hour. Many patients and family and staff have commented positively on the show, which fulfills my mission of sharing positive images and the feeling of home.

I will be back to Europe at the end of the month to the south of France in Bormes les Mimosas, recently voted the most preferred village of France. Then to Venice! A wonderful friend is loaning me a space to work in his garden, which happens to have been Titian’s garden during his lifetime. Yes, Titian, one of the greatest painters in Renaissance Venice; let’s see what kind of work comes from this studio…
