Villa Eilenroc

Antibes, France
I am invited by the city of Antibes for a period of two months, and the city gave me accommodation on the ramparts of Vieux Antibes, the Villa Fontaine. This residency is in preparation for the exhibition to be held at the Central Library of Newport Beach Californian in the first district 2019 as part of the works made in all the towns twinned with Newport.
I had thought of working in the various gardens of the city and finishing the paintings at home in my accommodation, but since June, there are no more cars in the old town, so impossible. So I went to Eilenroc, a villa on the Cap d'Antibes which was bequeathed to the city by Mme Beaumont and which today serves for quality receptions for Antibes and Juan les Pins. Mrs Pasquini, the Manager invited me to put my easel, giving me a perfect space in the center of the garden, accessible to all possible subjects, the olive grove, the rose garden, the Mexican garden ... I am very inspired by the limpid air of a perfect Mediterranean climate ....
