This past month I was in the UK, in Cornwall, painting at Laguna Beach sister city, St Ives. These paintings are in preparation for the solo expo in Laguna in May 2016 of paintings done in all of their Sister Cities. This art colony town on the furthest southwestern point of England inspired 4 paintings of their municipal gardens, inspite of wintery gales.
I made the trip over to the Scilly Islands to the garden isle of Tresco as a guest of Mike Nelhams, the Director of the Tresco Abbey Garden, famous for it’s unique subtropical garden where I will be painting in residence in spring 2017.
