A belated Happy New Year!
My early January trip to Zion National Park, the Mojave desert, Navajo reservation, northern Arizona, and Santa Cruz provided inspiration for new work I’m contemplating. In the coming weeks, I will complete two Malibu landscape commissions and continue painting plein air here in California.
This year is my sixth teaching at the Annenberg Foundation (Sunnylands) in Rancho Mirage in the California desert. The February 26 workshop is sold out.

I return to Europe in the early spring to be artist in residence at the Villa Ephrussi Rothschild https://www.villa-ephrussi.com/en ,one of the truly remarkable gardens on the French Riviera and will be onsite in May giving pastel demonstrations, a workshop, and a presentation on the history of pastel.
This summer, I will again be an invited artist at Sherman Gardens for the Newport Beach Garden Tour event at in Corona Del Mar, which will again be virtual. I’m very honored my art will be featured in the publicity for this prestigious event. Save the Date for The Summer Garden Party on August 28. This is a wonderful in-person event that is very fun.
