working in an ideal climate, in a wild unstructured garden created by a woman, Hortense Miller, over 50 year period, set in the hills above the Pacific Ocean in Laguna Beach. I’m finishing the first part (the winter series of 8 paintings) of this unique residency, where I am completely alone on the property every day. I will return in spring of 2015 to do 8 other paintings and have the exhibition, reception, and conference lecture.
